Titanium Backup

Hey guys, just this morning I purchased the Titanium Backup PRO Key, and after flashing my phone, I have been reverted to a 'free version' user.
Any ideas on what to do?

EDIT: Instead of creating a second topic, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what else I am able to do with my phone now that I have flashed it.
The details about my phone at the moment are;
Android version - 2.3.5
Kernel Version - 2.6.35.14-Siyah-v2.6.7+gm@ubuntu #509
Build Number - GINGERBREAD.DUKJ1

Are there any updates I can apply to the Kernal?
Custom ROM's perhaps?

I know that these questions must have been asked before, but I have been searching and searching for someone of a similar build to mine to no avail.
So I apologize in advance for the most likely repeated question =]

Sweet, thanks! I made a back-up on Titanium pro (I assume they aren't the same thing)
Also, this morning I flashed the most recent Siyah but it didn't work? I had to re-flash after using the cleaning script and install 2.6.7 - anyone know why this was?

EDIT: When I did flash it with the most recent one, it would try to boot up, it would go to a screen with the Siyah symbol, but then just re-boot - it was like an infinite loop.
My phone now just has the Vodafone symbol when I boot it up, I did like the look of the cSiyah symbol :P

Also, anyone else care to share their current builds with their phone?

I'm loving the Android system btw, prior I had an iPhone that I got bored with in 3 weeks lol :(
 
Yeah a nandroid is different from titanium. Titanium just backs up apps and data whereas a nandroid is a complete copy of your phone. So say if you flash a ROM and get stuck in a bootloop you can restore your nandroid and your phone will be back to where it was pre flash.

The latest siyah kernels are for ics roms which is why you got a bootloop as you're on gingerbread. The latest GB siyah is 2.6.14 and can be found here

I knew I forgot something.
To make a nandroid boot your phone into recovery mode (volume up, power and home) and choose backup and restore, then backup.

Is there anyway to change it from GINGERBREAD? Is it a dangerous procedure if it's possible?

And what are the "major" differences between the two?
 
Heya, Shotgun - when I tried to make a backup via your instructions, it said that it had an error creating a backup image.
Any ideas?

You have 2 options for upgrading to ics. You can download official firmware and flash with Odin from here
[All Official ICS Firmwares] I9100XWLP9 (4.0.3) - Netherlands (KPN) [25-4-12] - xda-developers

Or you can look through the all things root forum ABMs find a custom ics ROM you like the look of and flash it using cwm recovery.
 
Welcome Ruthl3ss, glad you are enjoying the Android way of life. I have been on the ICS side of things for a while now, flashing different Roms here there and everywhere. My personal favourite at the moment is a ROM called D4. There are many Roms out there for ICS but to gauge an idea of the differences it is probably best to look here ICS Reviews.

as to whether or not to go with ICS just yet or to stay on GB is another thing all together, people say that you get better battery life with GB, but it depends whether you wish to stick with what you have already or upgrade to the newer system. As long as you take a nandroid backup you can always go back to what you previously had.

hey, I've just finished charging my phone and the battery, upon saying it's fully charged, only registers to 97% - not the greatest amount but it is a little bit annoying :P
Also, what other tweaks can I do with Siyah on GINGERBREAD? Sorry it's still very foreign to me :(
