Titanium Restore Issues with ICS

Hi All,

I've tried several different ICS leaks and builds over the last few days but one problem I just can't seem to get to grips with is restoring all my apps and data from Titanium Pro.

I have the paid for version and when I try to restore, it just hangs.. Says it is restoring a particular app and just doesn't move. I've left it overnight to see if that works and it doesn't.

I've tried various options.. restore from system data, restore apps without system data and none work. I've reinstalled from scratch before trying each. Again, makes no difference.

I've tried using the basic version from the market without installing my paid for certificate. No joy. I've made sure i've used the newest version by downloading from the market. Again, no luck.

Is this something anyone else has experienced? I have 400 odd apps so don't want to do this one by one.

Cheers

I've experienced this a couple of times with the AndyX Rom, versions 5.0 and 5.1. What I discovered was that it stopped restoring on the same app every time I tried, so I unchecked this particular app from the list and ran the restore. That got the job done, and the trouble app could be installed manually at the end.

YOu know what, Ironass.. I don't actually know!! I just want to restore it all so that I have ICS with all my apps and settings back on it..

I feel incredibly thick!

I have had several that will not restore and usually hang. Not really recommended generally. Try doing it in batches of 5 or 6 as that worked. Best for me, but as build is not stable there are just some that will not load at all, even from the market.

Some app's are just not configured to work with ICS yet I'm afraid. :(

or if you are trying to restore system too then it may not be ICS compatible as framework changed.

My question would be are all 400 applications really needed? (seems an awful lot!) if not only try checking the essential apps to restore as at least then you can have a wrking ICS build.

i personally am sticking with GB, there is a lot I like about ICS but the lack of app support makes it a no go area at the moment, and think it may stay like that for a long time yet.

I have had the same issue using TI on ICS. I have given up and use CWM backup instead. It seems to work fine for restoring apps on ICS

I've tried many roms lately, including the ICS variants and will be sticking with either Gingerom or Checkrom from now, simply due to the fact as ironass mentions, apps not being configured and working correctly with ICS.
