Root [TMobile] [Dump] D50010h OTA Update

Needed that. I had downloaded the update, but then I read a few posts by people who said they'd lost root after installing, so before I rebooted I went and deleted the file from /cache. That put the system OTA installer into an annoying loop where it wouldn't actually reboot, but kept claiming it was about to. Downloaded this, copied to /cache, and voila. Rebooted and (surprise!) root persisted.
 
Sorry if this question seems to be basic one.

Can I install this zip from recovery mode and maintain my root while also updating my phone?
 
I was wondering that too, i tried and it failed. Is there something specific i.have to do to flash this?
