Root To Root or not to root

[Atowntiger]

I just got a droidx a few days ago. I want to make it as fast as possible and perform as well as possible.

If someone can explain the rooting process, why you think its necessary, and the advantages of it..

thanks

I'm going to move this over to the root section for the best possible answer.

well i just rooted yesterday. I used the super one click method found here. [APP]SuperOneClick v1.4 (Root, Enable Non-Market App, Get UNLOCK code) - xda-developers. It was fairly simple. I'm just starting to test out. I hope this helps you out.
