to those buying bigger batteries

i find it weird that noone has brought up this article about third party bigger batteries. basically its about stock batteries being right about what they should be at say a 1400 mah battery gets tested and the results end up at 1350 mah. but some batteries are 1600mah and when tested they actually came out less than the stock battery at 1315 mah. heres the article and a page with all the batteries tested.

Are third-party cell phone battery manufacturers deceiving their customers?

dont buy 3rd party.. Buy official?
 
Yeah, 3rd pary batteries are deceptively advertized in terms of their true capacity and are generally inferior in terms of overall quality.

Yes. I called Verizon the other day trying to find a good solution for waiting out the Bolt launch delays with my TP2. They sold me a true extra capacity battery and door for $7. That is customer service. Verizon treats their long-term customers very well. As always, it helps to be polite and witty.

I think they usually do, at least for the major phones. But their larger capacity batteries are, well, larger, requiring a modified battery door or phone back and case. But, the laws of physics being what they are, that should be expected--larger capacity generally requires larger size.

Good luck. Maybe you can have your battery tested and report back to us. I bought 3 Seidio 1750 mAh batteries ($50 each) for my TP2 and after 8 months of use, they are only good for a couple of hours. Seidio only warranties their batteries for 6 months. Don't believe Seidio sales people when they tell you otherwise.
 
I had a Seidio 1750 and had no problems with it it only got slightly more life then my 1500EVO battery thou. I only paid $25 for mine and honestly that's the most I would pay . I expieremented with larger batteries (everyone they make ) with my Incredible . I hate being tied down to a cord so I like my batteries to last several days.... In the end I have two 1500mah HTC batteries and an external battery charger and I just swap the batteries out my phone never touches a charger . Each battery lasts me at least 18hrs each when one hits red I just pop it out pt a new one in and I'm on my way. It also keeps my phone running pretty fresh

I highly reccomend this route over spending lots of money on extended batteries buy yourself a external charger on ebay it will come with 2knock off batteries (that are probably 900mah) for around $10 then buy a HTC OEM battery for under $15 and you will be a happy camper with extra cash in your pocket or buy yourself a nice case or some beers with the saving
 
I certainly would not buy any extra batteries until the phone came out. The battery listed as stock may have changed entirely. It may even ship with a larger battery.
 
I will just buy an additional OEM battery and between the 2 and my charging/use habits I should be fine

I'm using the charger I got off Ebay for my Touch Pro 2. The batttery also fits the Incredible so I get to swap between the TP2 and stock Inc battery. The external charger charges the battery with no bump charging needed. I also lowered the display to 25% and now I see a ton of battery life. There is a widget in the Market for changing screen brightness on the fly and besides the presets it has a slider for custom. Highly recommend the external battery charger.

P.S. I like the Beer idea.

It makes life so much easier and I honestly (and it maybe all in my head) but Ithink I get more life out of externally charged batteries compared to bump charged batteries . I love the external charger best $10 I ever spent. And I keep a fully charged generic battery in my glove box just in case , although I've never needed

I also never turn down my brightness I have it set to 100% all the time
 
I agree, it forces you to do a reboot by just pulling the battery which restores any memory loss and cleans up the registry so to speak. I pull mine before I go to bed and put the stock one in to get me over night then back to the 1500mh TP2.

Yep pretty much exactly what I do. I get on average 24hrs on each battery . I have a TP2 and EVO battery I alternate between

Don't know if you have answered this already but can you tell me where you got your charger? I'm going to look into getting one.

Ebay . Just went on and typed in Incredible Battery and they pop upinstantly . They sell the charger without batteries too but it's only a couple bucks more so I opted to get a couple extras.... I ordered the same thing for the Thunderbolt also
