In the pay version is it possible to turn off the haptic feedback? I hate that the phone vibrates with every keypress...

Actually, haptic feedback in general is really annoying. Too bad there's not a way to disable it altogether.

Settngs->Language & Keyboard, then look for the settings option for Better Keyboard. I assume its an option, but I use Gingerbread Keyboard so I'm not sure. Both that and the default one allow you to disable haptic feedback.

All of the settings categories are grayed out ("pay version only") so I was hoping that the haptic option was in one of those categories before I went and paid for it.

The gingerbread keyboard isn't available without rooting right?

Gingerbread keyboard is available and allows u to turn off haptic feedback.
