Accessories TODAY only; Verizon $49.99 32GB microsdhc

I just got the card honored at the $50 price. The lady would not add the corporate discount though because she said they couldn't do that with the online discount? Idk

Took me like 15 minutes, i called *611, then they transfered to me to a lady in the internet department who was very nice. I told her i saw the price and said i had a screen shot (my own personal screenshot with whole browser and date), I 1st emailed her my screenshot with just the url bar and the price, but she said i needed the date as well, so i sent her the whole pic (stupid imo, u can change computer dates). And she placed the order for me on my discover for 49.99 :D

After hours of getting switched around from person to person and hung up on, I was able to order two cards! Total price was $106.72. I had to email a screen shot to close the deal.

I am upset with myself that I missed this one

Oh well guess I will just have to wait until another good deal comes down the pipe

I knew that I should have ordered this sooner. I had to go to work and I thought that I would do it when I got home. Can someone post or send me a screenshot? My pc won't bring the screen back up with the $49.99 price.

I called back and emailed the screen shot and i got it for 50.00 would not give me my 25% discount. will wait until i get the card then call back and complain.

I called and the lady said I needed a screenshot that shows the verizon website on it. The one posted here only has a part of the screen not the full thing. Thanks.

ok, so not as good a deal as 49.99 but I tried to order online. 25% corporate discount showed up until checkout and then went back to $99. Called Verizon and the rep had me run the order through at the 99 price then she went and removed 25.00 from my cellphone bill. Sure enough went to my account and she knocked off 25 dollars on my current bill so I'm happy paying $75.

if anybody lives near a fry's electronics, they are having a sale on a 16gb for 42.99 with a $26 mail-in rebate for a total price of $17.99!
I think I'm going to head out a grab me one of those or 3

Incorrect. They would be under no legal obligation to honor the sale and would be fully within their rights to cancel completed orders that were charged a mistaken price. While it would seem ethical to honor it, there's nothing that legally compells them an online retailer to honor a price error.

I don't want to start a whole thing, but.... a purchase made is a contract between buyer and seller and once the transaction has completed there is a legally binding agreement between both payer and payee for monies owed and service rendered. NOW, there is a bit of gray area here where a blatantly mispriced item, e.g. $1000.00 item priced at $10.00 due to fat fingered entry, and the case of our lovely $99 cards for $49 (and some of us for 37.50) could be argued by a crafty lawyer either way, but it would cost more money (in this case, I'm guessing) and would be bad rep for Verizon.

Had this been a bigger gaffe and Verizon was taking unacceptable loses, they could do as you say and reject all purchases. You are correct that they are "within *their* rights" to do this, the same as I have freedom of speech, but this does not mean freedom from consequence. When a company rejects, or recalls a sale or goods; they're banking that no one or not enough people are going to complain or pursue litigation. The overall affect is meant to be the route of least damages for the company. It's strictly numbers.

For those of you who referenced slickdeals as a common offender of such offenses, you "could" argue your sale with proper proof of purchase and offer. But in that same breath I'd say, "Good luck".

Furthermore, I don't care. I got a 32gb micro sd card for 37.50

That is all.

I'm looking forward to rereading this post in a year from now... We'll all be clamoring for 64GB MicroSDXC cards, normally priced at $199, but available at verizon for $49. :D

I remember way back in the day paying $249 for a 256mb sony memory stick... ah good times...

Meh, I ended up ordering one, was thinking about going ahead and messaging them/emailing to try using the screen shot to get it for $50, but... I get 25% off discount and I figured screw it, $75 for a 32gb is still comparably better than the same price for a 16gb.

I don't understand why all the big Droid'ed phones came with nice sized sd cards and then the Inc came with a 2gb card, i you were even lucky enough to get that, and the Eris came with an 8 and the Droid/Droid X's came with a 16, kinda pisses me off, yes I love my phone, but come on, now I have to invest more money just to have the same 16 they gave away for free to people that bought motorola's.

bigger cards for inferior phones

It should have come with an 8gb card, they thought the Internal 8gb was good enough till they realzied 99% of the apps in the market don't recogonize internal storage.
Really the Incredible came with 10gb, now it will have 40gb thanks to Verizons little error

I ordered mine around 3pm ET yesterday, and my order still hasn't been shipped. Is this normal? I'm afraid that they might cancel my order as I was able to order more than one before they fixed their error.

I've found many of the apps now will know the internal memory exists, but you have to force it to point to it. I'm not too keen on having different apps utilize different memory parts.

I've always wondered though, couldn't you create a symlink (sp?) inside the internal memory to link to the SDcard, or vice vera? That way every app can default to lets say, /sdcard/(blahblah) but yet if you want to store things internally you could go to /sdcard/internal/(blahblah) and it'll basically forward it to /emmc/(blahblah) ...

So, if you wanted to do what I had said... I'm guessing via the shell, you would do the following (please correct me if I'm mistaken)
cd /sdcard/
ln -s /emmc/ internal
and when you type ls -l it would show something similar to
lrwxrwxrwx 1 user group 12 Jul 22 10:02 /sdard/internal -> /emmc/

or something like that.

That way when you setup things like xScope, etc. for download directories, you can just have it refer to /sdcard/internal and in reality it would be stored internally.

*shrug* Either way I do agree it seems silly that we essentially got 10gb between two locations whereas everyone else gets 16gb in one location.

I doubt that they will cancel it if you were able to order online. Mine was ordered about 1pm and it shipped last night. Arrived in Raleigh NC this am and is scheduled to be delivered by 3 pm Mon.

It is possible that it shipped without and email being sent, they are good at that. But if they were not going to honor your order, I am sure they would have notified you.

There not Apple. Lol call VZW and ask them what's going on with the order. As long as you have your order email the transaction was complete and they have to honor it.

I use to be a VZW rep.

Slickdeals isn't a common offender. It's a website/forum dedicated to the best deals on everything and anything. If you've ever spent a great deal of time there, you'll find there are people who literally comb and crawl the internet for the best deals. I'm sure it's happened elsewhere but there was a crazy 1TB external HDD deal through the Dell Store at one point. Well, Dell caught up with the fact that the price was entered incorrectly (and it wasn't a misplaced decimal point) after about half a day, and everyone got their order canceled. Dell still seems to be doing well.

In Verizon's case no one is going to litigate over $50, nor waste their time in small claims court. Fortunately, Big Red just doesn't want to deal with the call volume of complaints and can afford to eat the loss. Would have been nice to score a couple of these to flip on ebay.
