Root Todays update question

I received update today but is it safe to install I'm rooted with s-off so just curious if it I'd safe for rooted users thanks

I haven't seen a definitive answer on this YET.

One thread gives instructions on how to install the 180mb RUU, and another links to a 17mb update file.

I'm rooted on the stock rom & since the update doesn't seem too important, I'll just wait for a better answer.

It won't install. You have to do it by hand.

Have you done this? There are several threads asking how to get back to the ROM you are currently using without having to re-set up.

For example:

I am running Froyo ROM, deodexed, S-OFF. It is all setup the way I like. Do you know how to apply update with minimal effect on current ROM?

Only on stock.

I am not nearly knowledgable enough to do anything with a ROM.

I assume the ROM dev has to integrate it.

My How-To clearly says for stock rooted ROM with S-Off.

Saw that and a nice write up. But it is only for current STOCK ROM. I switch ROM's, so I would have to do that each time, unless the creator includes.....

Honestly, I wouldn't even speculate if it would work on a non stock ROM.

I would just expect the dev to release a new version with whatever is needed blended in.

I have no idea what goes into a custom ROM. I'm happy with tweaking the hell out of my stock one.

:D
