Help Tons of duplicate emails - HELP!

I have an MSN account as my default account. I've used this same email address for years with my Blackberry, no problem. I got this phone last November and I HATE the way the email program works. I get an email, read it or just delete it, whatever, and then POOF it's back as a "new email". Then I delete it again - POOF it's back as a new email AGAIN. I have gotten some emails over a dozen times. Some, I only get once. THAT'S the part that really makes no sense. I can't figure out why it gets certain ones over and over and over again. Now, keep in mind. . . .I've already read them ONLINE on my Mac at home AND DELETED THEM THERE, TOO!!! I've got well over a THOUSAND emails in my "trash" folder. I can't find any way to just "empty" that. . . do I really have to go to every single one, check the box and hit delete AGAIN????

Please GOD, help me! I'm so OVER this issue!!!!

I had that same issue. When you read an email then delete it, it doesn't really get deleted. You have to go into that email accounts folder on your phone and look in the "trash" folder. There you will find every email that you ever got. I had like 700 when I discovered that. You will have to delete them all again. That should prevent your phone from making them pop up again. At least it did for me. Deleting the files from your trash folder will also free up memory on your phone. I hate the fact that I have to delete emails twice from the phone to get rid of them. Android is a high maintainance OS if you ask me. See if that works.

Well. I tried that. I went in and deleted a couple of hundred emails yesterday and then POOF today, I got ANOTHER email from back on February 19th. I've deleted this particular email about 20 times now. It just keeps on getting it again. It's not in my inbox on my computer, but, yet, it just keeps on coming back to my phone. . . .over and over and over and over again.
