Too Late to Import, Backordered?

So the T-Mobile event was a disappointment. I'm really considering importing a NexIII but I'm worried that I'll get like the third batch of shipments around December since so many people preordered the device by now and the phone is being released on the 21st (Sim-Free).

Any ideas, is it too late to purchase the Nex and get it in a timely manner?

The Nov. 21 release is Verizon though, isn't it? T-Mobile hasn't announced anything relative to the Galaxy Nexus that I've seen.

If you're on T-Mobile, isn't importing from Europe your only option for now?

And if you do import, where would you import it from?
