Took Mine Back Today

Just had to return mine today. Too many quirks. From the data loss, to frequently dropped calls, to it locking up under load several times.

I dont think the dropped calls are due to the phone, I think its due to Sprint's spotty coverage in my town. Picks up about 8 miles from the tower but not beyond.

Maybe they will get the data drops issue fixed for your guys.

I just went back to at AT&T Inspire today. I am on a family talk plan with my brother, so minutes isn't an issue, and data is only $25, and the fact that I paid $39 for the Inspire.

Good luck with the Optimus guys.

PS. I have an EXTRA LG OEM Optimus V battery ( just like the original one in the phone i'll sell for $6.00 (+ $1 shipping). PM me if you're interested!!

I have to say my situation changed and I had to let mine go as well.

I started a new job that totally locks down their computers (and tracks everything you do), so no streaming media. And my V would constantly drop 3g and could not keep up a charge over usb.

I went back to Sprint and my Evo. :(

I would love to do that. I can afford it but I'm not willing to pay minimum $80 bucks to have it. Just can't bring myself to do it. My Optimus works fine.

I understand your reasoning though. If I couldn't tether at work I wouldn't like it.

I choose a provider first, than a phone. IMO, this is rule number one.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach. In my area of San Diego, 90% of the time I try my 3G, it is good to go.

Of course, YMMV.

VM is not perfect, but in my area, it is more than acceptable given the price.

Yea, what's funny is I live in sprints home town, so my coverage should be about as good as it's going to get. And the phone is great. I just need it to have data access 8 hours a day. If I did not I'd have kept it.

I think that the people that eagerly pay $80 a month and more are the problem! If people would say NO to these money grubbing pig carriers, maybe price would come down. VM may have a few bugs here and there, but I'll gladly pay $25 per month for what they offer! I'm sorry and mean no disrespect to anyone here but phone and data service is not worth $80 a month or more!!

Absolutely 100% spot on!

Agreed 100% and then some, hell i only pay 100 a month for Verizon Fios 25/25 Fiber optic internet, and ultra HD TV, which would blow away any wireless data plan, could not be any happier with what i pay a month between home and wireless data, text, hard lined internet, HD TV and wireless phone.all good on my end.
