Root [TOOL] LG Laf Recovery MultiTool v1.2

Did you zero out your laf partition? Are you in download mode/fastboot? Did you try the 'Z' option in the MultiTool?

I zero'd out and did Z but when I try Z it hangs on waiting for device, the phone displays a little console that looks like this kinda

---------DOWNLOAD MODE------------
fastboot.init
error: allocating memory for ssd
portchange
retry

Hmm, I would suggest using the kdz tool and do a full firmware flash to restore your laf. Based on my limited knowledge on how this works for this phone, you would need to restore your laf (which firmware flash does) then zero it out again and attempt to unlock. Before doing this I would wait for someone like sammyz to come along and give a second option. However, if it turns out that my advice is the way to go, make sure that you use the cord that came with your phone and that the cord in is good condition to avoid problems.

Thank you for this tool! Unlocked and touch CWM recovery installed in a few minutes!

Edit: Forget it, I forgot to allow usb debugging even though I've always had it checked, lol. OMG this was too easy thank you guys so much for this.

Is this tool the only way I can boot into recovery?

Edit: forget it, I found a app ^_^.

You can also flash recovery to the laf partition to use the download mode key combo to boot to recovery (very useful if you get stuck in a boot loop and you have a backup).

Thanks, will do so when I get home. Mind telling me what's the key combo? Lol.

I could only install the LG united drivers. When I attach phone to computer it says that windows doesn't recognize the device. I am running Windows 8. Anyone else having this problem? I cannot even install the other set of drivers " CT_HsPhone_General_Drivers.zip"
Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

Could someone post a flashable version of the stock recovery or list a way to reinstall it? My PC crashed and anything and everything I had saved on there is a total loss, I moved all backup files from my phone to PC due to storage space...just want the option to go back to stock if I ever get rid of this phone. TY!

Download this file: http://oudhitsquad.com/android/LGE/Firmware/MS323/Misc/recovery_ms323.zip

Rename the extracted recovery_364544.bin file to recovery.img (don't worry about changing the file format, it will work) and place in same directory as "Run" Then choose option F or G from my tool depending what you are booted to.

But if you really wanted to go back to stock, I recommend this thread:
http://androidforums.com/l70-all-things-root/864922-unbrick-twogbsds-simple-unbrick-guide.html
Then after following it, I would factory reset. If you have installed and set up link2sd, remove the external sd card before you start flashing or you will run into some issues.
This process will not remove the download mode from saying that you rooted. I will be posting my guide to unroot download mode when I have time.

There is no way to relock the bootloader.

Sammyz: This is what happened when I tried to install the drivers.

I extracted the zip files to a folder. Then I double clicked the install.exe file. I had my task manager up while doing it. The file Randsburg about three seconds and then stopped. I tried to run the install.exe file in compatibility mode;Windows 7, Windows XP, and Windows Vista. Still it would not work.

Do you have any suggestions on how I can get those drivers installed?

Now all that happens when I plug the phone in to my computer is it says that the USB device is not recognized

Go to the folder called 64, then open DPInst.exe

My tool doesn't work on linux. I have not made a script for linux. If you are using linux to use my tool, that's your first problem haha.

No I am not currently using Linux but I have a laptop that has it on it and I didn't know if it would be easier to use Linux Since I'm having so many problems. I think I'm going to try to do is install Windows 7 on that laptop and go from there.

I have Windows XP installed on my laptop now. I'm going to install the drivers and adb W/fastboot. One question about using the recovery tool. What steps do I take to properly unlock boot loader and flash CWM? Do I have to back up laf first, then unlock, then flash can to laf partition? The one thing I don't under stand do I just follow the steps A -Z?

Only have to Z. Other options are just there for those who want to use them.
