Root [TOOL] Warp2 CWM & Root Flasher

ok i found an online nandroid backup in the market and when i tried it it said i didnt have enough space available. how do i find out how much space i have available. according to data in titanium backup:
system rom: 512MB (25.0MB) FREE
internal: 2.76G (928MB) FREE
sd card 1.94GB (145MB) FREE
ext. sd card 2.76GB (928MB) FREE

my im also confused as to how both the phone and memory card are both full??

I don't know what all u have on your memory card, but I DO know that the average size of these JB nandroid backups are about 1Gb (0.9-1.1)...

Ok I tried those command and boot recovery and cache seemed to work. But on system and data image, after i hit enter i waited for like 5 seconds and the phone shut off on both commands. So im guessing it didnt work????

thats just it i dont have a nandroid backup. my phone isnt letting me make one!! lol

I think you don't have room on your sdcard for the backups which is causing cwm backup to fail and dd command to fail. I suggest getting as much space free as possible on your sdcard or grab a bigger one and try your cwm backup again.

Agreed and could be as large as 2.5GB which is larger than the amount of space on the sdcard. I can't imagine a successful backup if you run out of room.

ok i put a 4gb sdcard in and partitoned it. some kind of ext4 error though and flashed superb11 rom

it shouldn't format it as ext4, it should be fat32...unless you are setting up for app2sd or similar. Not sure about the partitioning so use at your own risk.

not sure either lol. i just put it in and booted cwm and format sdcard went of then tried to format sd/ext and got the ext4 error. so far its working just trying to restore data now. used tb for apps and backed it all up quickly now that im restoring i have to manually click install and done on each as as it does it. time consuming and wasteful but working. ill try a nandroid when thats done

cool, just make sure when you try the cwm backup you have at least 2GB free. More is better ;)

Successfully made nandroid backup. It could not find an sdext part so It skipped it but otherwise i now have a full backup. Should I have an sd ext partition?? So far superrom runs very smooth and has no issues yet. No freezing at all and runs so much better than stock. Thanks for a great rom!!!!

Glad everything is working for you :)

sd-ext is for apps2sd and similar which i have not used or had a need for on this device. I get the same error when i do nandroid backups...no need to worry ;)

New version posted in the OP :)

Changes:
Different method for installing recoveries that should now work on all computers.
Added the ability to install stock recovery

Much gratitude to programmers posts. It was painful. Finally Hooray! N861 rooted. Phone is faster but android is now 4.0 and I must be missing the rom for cool tools.

I have a sequent that still turns on and has no screen lock but the screen doesn't display anything... Just light up when it wakes by the power button. Is there still a way to recover the phone even though I can't see anything? I can confirm that it boots properly because screenshot is working. I know it is due to the notification sound when you do the button combo. Also, when I plug into my PC via USB it still shows up listed as n861 but no data is shown. I tried installing the driver numerous times. Is there any way to get USB debugging turned on with a malfunctioning screen?

Can you boot to recovery? If so, which recovery do you have and does the screen work in recovery?

I haven't been able to successfully boot into recovery. At least, as far as I know anyways... I'm also not sure what ROM&recovery are installed because frankly I forgot lol

The way it ended up like this was during a flash. I walked off to grab a bite during the process and came back to a warning saying the ROM itself installed but there were some error(s).

The screen remains black no matter what I do to it.

Your best bet is to try to get into recovery and hope you can get your screen to work. If you have a messed up rom and stock recovery you may be out of luck.

Man if I could just get it into fastboot I'd be good to go, but this damn screen is pissing me off so bad lol
