Top 10 to-do after receiving your Droid X

1st if want to tether go to junefabrics.com and download pdanet for android on your laptop.

2nd go here http://www.droidapps.org/pdanet-how-to-tether-the-droid/ to be able
have step by step instructions on how to install pdanet app on your laptop and cell.

This is an amazing app,,,yes its been out for a while but its still awesome. been using it for a while now on DX, and havent had any charges billed to my account for usage.
and you dont have to get that ridiculous tethering plan.

Enjoy ......!!!!!

1. Download some apps and games and see just what your Droid X can do.
2. Pinch yourself to make sure you're not dreaming.
3. Still not sure, pinch the person next to you.
4. Rub your cheek where the person beside you just slapped the fire out of you.
5. You're not dreaming, go back to enjoying your Droid X!
6-10. Same as step 5. Be sure to add sleep, eat, and work in there too. Oh yea, and family too. Except the person you pinched. There may be some bad feelings there for a while.

Is #2 a well known documented thing? I haven't seen that before, that you should charge, discharge until it powers off, and charge again. ?

On #4, are you guys using regular market or AppBrain? I recently found appbrain.com and it seems good.

Mike

I don't know about how documented. I know it was debated in the tips and tricks section. However, I know that my battery meter is more accurate now and that my phone will actually work for more than 12 hours before telling me the battery is at 15% after a full charge up.

Made a big difference in how the phone works when the battery is in the orange/yellow.

I love appBrain.

Just a tip since many people suggested Launcher Pro. I had uninstaller apps and then realized with launcher pro you can just go to the App Launcher drag the app like you were going to make a shortcut, but instead hover over the Trash can with it and it will popup and say drop to uninstall.

I've found that to be the best uninstaller ever.
