Torn between Google Nexus/Amazon Kindle

I have an iPad from a rent-to-own center, since they gave me a great deal since I've rented from them in the past. But I really want an Android tablet, and I think I want either a Kindle Fire HD, which I could get from the Viggle app, or the Google Nexus 10.

I have both Amazon accounts and obviously Google accounts as I'm an Android user. On Amazon I always go and check out their free eBook deals, so I have hundreds of books already on Amazon Kindle. On Google Play I've purchased seasons of Happy Endings and Haven, and have purchased a significant amount of eBooks through them.

The tablet I buy is going to have a large impact on which provider I start to depend on most. I have bought a few videos off of Amazon and bought one eBook, on Google I've purchased several eBooks since I have Android and Gmail anyway. But I've noticed that Google has quite a small selection. I want to support them and go with them, but I haven't heard anything about them pursuing to make their TV/movie/book library larger.

Should I buy a Google tablet and assume they will work on expanding their library or should I for the moment just go with an Amazon tablet and start spending my money on their content as opposed to Google's?
