Help total black brick no power/down etc

nothing works. black screen. happened suddenly. android 5.2. no two or three finger fix.
Is it a total loss?

5.2? 5.1.1 is the newest as far as I know.
Are you sure it's charged? What happens when you plug into wall charger, or PC USB port?

My bad 5.1.1! definitely charged. Was on supplied charger when it failed. On charger now- no response, simply black.

Man that doesn't sound good. Hard to diagnose when nothing turns on. Could be a bad connection in the power supply, or a bad board. Might find some more expert advice over on xda.
