Total screen on timer?

Sorry i couldnt think of a better title lol.

The problem: i bought a nexus 7 for me and the wife for xmas and she still tries to say that it was a selfish purchase and that its MY tablet.

The reality: she has her own user account. Her phone is a rubbish windows phone. She uses the tablet a LOT more than i do.

What i need: an app that will time how long the screen is on, will survive a reboot and be an ongoing timer. I want to put it on her and my user accounts and show her just how much more she uses OUR tab than me :D
The multi-user thing doesnt matter since we both have our own user account. Just need an app to record screen on time.

There's only one way to win this "discussion" - never bring it up again.
 
Been married almost 50 years. My one bit of advise is every time you have a disagreement with the wife, no matter how small it seems, always ask yourself one question. "Is this the hill I want to die on". It has served me well for a long time.

So i finally got hold of the tab long enough to try it and it seemed perfect but it puts an overlay on the screen which is kinda annoying.
Thanks for the suggestion though mate :beer:

Nothing worse than the pressure of a clock in your face ticking away, lol. Now that we know the theory works, I'll see if I can find another one without the annoying clock!

Yeah it would be better if you had to open the app to see the timer.
I wana hide it in her app drawer and move it to the system partition so she cant uninstall it :D

These are certainly hard to find, I think the app people don't want us realizing how much we actually spend on these things, lol. But I think I found EXACTLY what you are looking for if you want to hide it because it's actually a good old parental control app!! This is taken directly from the description of the app.
