Totally new to tethering... still possible w/Motion?

Have never tethered, but wondering if I still can. Have grandfathered $55 unlimited plan with Motion and can buy any needed app (like PDA.net). Is it still possible to do some tethering? Don't plan to watch big videos or anything like that, but hoping to possibly tether to my Nexus 7 tablet for some Ingress-ing.

Anyone have any advice?

Just following up. Got PDANet+ and it works like a charm, both as Wifi hotspot and Bluetooth.
