Help touch screen acting up

The touch screen on my intercept is acting very slow or unresponsive. How do you re-calibrate the screen. If it isnt that the screen needs to be re-calibrated,what could be going on with the phone?
 
You probably have an app conflict, factory reset the phone and re load your apps one at a time until the problem starts again then delete the last app, make sure you sync your phone to Google so your contacts and paid apps will be saved
