Help Touch Screen freezing

In the past 3 days, my phones touch screen has become unresponsive about 6-7 times. I have to do a battery pull to get it to work again. This had never happened before. Any thoughts or ideas?
 
Mine will do this occasionally as well, however it seems to be an app problem on mine, as the soft buttons still work for me. But no response from the rest of the screen.
 
This happened to me a few times last year. It seems better now, but I'm not sure why:

1) ICS update.
2) Changing background process limit.
3) Something else.

I heard it said in another thread that one should turn the phone off an on every few days. I'm not convinced by this, but I'm no expert.
 
The ICS music player was causing this problem for me. Had to kill it a few times and/or restart the phone. Once killed, the phone behaves fine again.
 
Had same problem. Went Sprint 6 times and they ran all their tests and no luck. Found out the generic charger I bought at Walmart made for it was the problem. Caused it to get hot and freeze up real bad. Once I used the charger it came with problen went away. This problem gave me hell for a month till I almost bought a new phone. To God be the Glory
