Help Touch screen issues, pleease help!

so the other day, my touch screen would not work sometimes; in other words, just being slow.
&when i shut it off &turned it back on, it would not work.
i've tried to reset it,
&it says
TOUCH PANEL-fail

please helllp :(
&what do you do when in recovery mode
&your phone goes to a picture of a phone with a triangle with ! in it?:(

Okay

1) Turn off ur my touch 3g slide

2) Hold down the volume button keep pressing and press the power button

What do you see?

I don't have that specific phone so can't know what you see there.

Okay i think you hold down "menu" and then press "home" i think at least to get into recovery mode :)

Okay, can you boot into android normally?

What i mean is can you boot into android regardless of the touch screen problems? We are going to try do a NAND backup i think that's what it is called.

But you will need root i think hang on a second buddy it will be alright :)
 
yeah, it will turn on.
but it will go to the lock screen; i can unlock it, but it gives me that whole "let's get you started" bull &since my middle button isn't working, i can't get past it.

&okay, but i have no idea how to root it?

Sorry to bump this thread again, but I have the same problem. Touch screen doesn't register touch and the middle button went out. I was wondering if there was any success with this proposed solution. I've already replaced the digitizer and reset the phone. I just need to know if it's time to give up....:confused:
 
hey im only 14 and in the red triangle screen i pressed the power button and volume up button and dont know what to do from there
