Help Touch screen problem

Hey everyone....I have a quite....interesting touch screen problem. It seems like all the main buttons have been switched i.e. home is search, menu is home, back in menu and search is home.
They work fine except they don't do what they say they should. Also...everything else seems to be backwards...as in I touched to select...a button...and it selected the one opposite. Anyone have any idea?
I left it with my boyfriend all night and now it's like this :mad::mad::mad:
He probably sat on it and didn't realize (as per usual) and I have no idea how to fix this. I don't even know what to search for in google! So I come here :D Please please please someone help.

Very odd problem indeed, Have you tried Factory Resetting your phone?

Try powering down the phone and power it up again. Use the track pad to select screen items (ie. Power Off).

The same thing is happening to me! I tried shutting down the power, turning it on and off, but nothing. The phone has also become reeealllllyyyyy slow and freeze from time to time... And the problem started for no apparent reason, since I had juste checked my e-mail, as usual and after wanting to use it again, the screen became

I had the same 'opposite' problem with my touch screen. I put up with the problem for a few weeks after being unable to fix it. I tried taking the battery out, resetting the phone etc and nothing worked.

However I recently ran the battery completely flat and it was another 24hours or so until I got to a charger. On charging the phone and turning it on - the touch screen started working normally again (and still is 3 days later!).

I was similarly confused.
What solved it for me was to (using the counter-intuitive left-right transposed navigation) go to
Settings > Display > G-sensor calibration
Start the calibration by putting the phone flat - once it was calibrated, the bizarre left-right switching had gone.

(Took about 3 hours of Googling, synching & backup before, in desperation looking through menus, I happened to try this!)
