Help touchpad not turning on

My touchpad is suddenly not turning on. I have CM7.1 installed and I've run into incidents in the past where I would press the power button once or twice and the screen would not immediately come on and it would finally come on when I pressed the home button. Anyone else run into similar problems?

Sounds like the black screen of death, do you have the latest version of CM installed?

The fix for SOD: Hold the power and home buttons down for AT LEAST 30 seconds.

See if that helps.

SOD is rare these days, unless you're on a old version of CM7.

I actually had this happen to my 1 day old touchpad. Talk about crapping your pants! Luckily a quick google search found the Power and Home button trick and I haven't had SOD since.

It's been a good day for brown pants for a lot of TP owners when they discovered that.

so true and so dumb... probably one of the many reasons I got my touchpad for $99 though
