Help Touchscreen and capacitive buttons stopped working

So I might be screwed on this. I'm running MIUI-1.11.4, btw. My touchscreen stopped working out of the blue, so I can't get out of the lock screen. Didn't drop it, didn't get it wet, I just noticed it stopped working when I finished work today. No problem, I thought. I'll just do a factory reset and reinstall. Except when I went into CWM, I find out that the capacitive buttons don't work either, so I'm basically stuck.

I'm guessing Virgin Mobile won't accept this as a warranty issue since I can't get my stock Nandroid backup back onto it. I would guess they'll say that I voided the warranty.

Anyone have any ideas? Any help at this point would be appreciated.

Well there might be a variation of cwm recovery or a different recovery that doesn't use the capacitive buttons... Or maybe you can do something through bootloader... I'm not a dev so idk how to any of that but Isaac may be able to change the buttons up on cwm recovery... You could pm and see if he has any ideas...

If a battery pull and reboot didn't help and your power button still works, I suppose you could try using the original tjstyle CWM 4.0.0.9 from this link:

http://androidforums.com/triumph-all-things-root/421674-clockworkmod-recovery-motorola-triumph.html

You'll see the link for version 4.0.0.9 at the bottom of that post. The POWER button, iirc, is the select button on that version. That should allow you to flash the stock nandroid back up from this post:

http://androidforums.com/triumph-al...100-stock-nandroid-backup-stock-recovery.html

and then put the stock recovery back and then you'll be good to go.

Thanks, guys. I got the stock image back in (my backup was done in CWM5, so I couldn't restore that one in CWM4), and put the stock recovery image back in.

Touchscreen/buttons still don't work, so I'll be calling VM to exercise the warranty. Hopefully they won't be able to tell I monkeyed around with it.
