Help Touchscreen issue

My Droid Eris is having problems touching action buttons on the touchscreen in the area above the Home and Menu buttons. Sometimes I have to long press the button before it will accept it. I've calibrated the keyboard and G-Sensor but doesn't seem to help. This problem exists on any ROM that I've tried, 2.1 or 2.2.

Any suggestions?

It sounds like a hardware problem to me. I'd call Verizon and report the issue. They should send you a replacement (if it is still under warranty - it should be if you bought it less than 1 year ago.)

Yep, my original phone did the same thing in the same place, Verizon swapped it out without question.

Yea just make sure you unroot that thing before you send it in
