Touchscreen issues playing games...

Okay so let me 1st start off by saying I had a sprint branded phone at 1st and played games on it like Cytus and Dead Trigger and had no multi touch problems playing them. I swapped that phone out due to signal problems (found out later that Sprint was getting their towers fixed in my area and I swapped a perfectly working phone for nothing) and got a virgin branded one. The multi touch didn't really work right on there. If I lifted my fingers for a second and go to touch the screen again it stutters (Dead Trigger for example won't let me move until I've not touched the screen for 3 seconds). I swapped the phone again and have another virgin branded phone and am experiencing the same problems. Is anybody else experiencing this? Just wondering.

Does the same thing on Cytus, Age of Zombies, Sonic CD, Sonic 4 Episode 1-2, Another World (Out of This World), Mass Effect Infiltrator, Shadowgun, Gunman Clive, GTA3, Samurai 2: Vengeance, Canabalt HD... Just to name a few lol I even downloaded Z-Device Test and it shows I have 4 point multi touch which I don't understand why I'm having problems playing any of my games...

I have my original Sprint branded phone from launch day and have never had any issues playing games, I think that you're just having bad luck. As far as anyone has been able to tell the only difference between the two phones is silk screening, hardware and software is identical. What rom are you on?

Stock rom. I've never rooted or flashed any other roms on the Evo yet. Like I said before I wish I kept my sprint branded one because that phone was completely perfect. I just asked thought something was wrong cause I would constantly be without signal and miss calls and texts until I rebooted. Come to find out that Sprint was working on their towers here in Chicago. I've only had this problem with the virgin branded ones. I'm waiting on radioshack to get one in so I can swap it. Hopefully it's a sprint branded one. Anybody with a virgin branded phone experience this? I've un installed and reinstalled all the games and they still do the same thing.

i had a multi touch issue too. check out "multitouch visible test" to confirm if your phone is messing up.

The problem on mine was i had installed the "No Lock" app (to disable the lock screen). When i had lockscreen disabled, 1 finger works fine, 2 fingers starts to mess up, and 3 or 4 point touch is completely screwed up. When i re-enabled the lockscreen (everything back to normal), the multitouch works fine.

I may have found the culprit behind this issue... I uninstalled holo lock screen and it works fine... That's weird... So now my phone is completely fine. I'm using a refurbished one I got from Virginia but this morning I went and got my new replacement from radioshack. I'm just gonna send them this refurbished back and keep the brand new one lol but I gotta check to make sure there are no defects with that new one tonight...

when you say "sprint" branded, do you mean just the sprint logo on the top right of the phone??? or are you meaning sprint bloatware also and it also says "sprint 3d" when you turn it on instead of Virgin Mobile???

and vice versa what do you mean virgin branded???

I had an actual sprint 3d phone in a virgin mobile box... boot logo said sprint 3d, all sprint bloatware no vm stuff, *2 calls sprint c/s... and only had android 2.3.4 and htc sense 3.0... that was an actual sprint branded phone... obviously i returned it to get the "vm" phone evo v with android 4.0.3 and sense 3.6

Sprint branded is what I refer to the logo on the top right and virgin Mobile branded is what I refer to it just saying HTC on the front and the back cover says virgin Mobile.
