Help Touchscreen stopped working

Anyone else have their touchscreen just stop responding randomly out of nowhere?
Phone running fine for days. Even had data working the past couple days with no drops, then this morning my touchscreen just stopped responding.
Any ideas? Driver updates? Devs feel free to chime in.

Random freezes will happen from time to time, a reboot of the device will often clear this up.but to try and figure the cause of a very intermittent problem will drive you crazy.

Yeah, this is not a random freeze. This is a complete meltdown of the touchscreen responsiveness. Been fighting all morning.
Rebooted
Left the battery out for half an hour, rebooted
Wiped everything & rebooted
my list continues

Every time the phone boots up, the touchscreen is still frozen.

This has never happened on any other Android device I've used.

You need to be more detailed in your original post,if that's the case return it and get a new one,did you root it or install any Roms.

The phone's been rooted and running fine for over a month and a half so I'm well beyond the returning time frame. It was working perfectly up until this morning when without warning the screen is frozen.

Did you try to restore it to factory settings, and unroot it,you can still get a replacement phone from virgin mobile if you get a submitted ticket, but you will need to return it to it was, when you purchased it,if you did not create a backup or image before doing the root you may be in trouble.espescially if you installed roms

New phone and all set up and working normal again. Can't overclock as high on this one as my other but that's ok with me as long as my phone works.

I hadn't messed with my phone in a while. Nothing new on it in weeks. Everything working perfectly, even data staying up and running for days. Yesterday morning I downloaded Moozone from the market and after it installed is when everything went bad and nothing worked again so I would recommend staying away from that app. I contacted them about the issue and am waiting for their response. I did not attempt to install it on my new phone. One bricked phone is quite enough. It's actually a little scary that an app could be the possible cause of this.
