track pad apps?

No, but if you root, you can flash a ROM that has that ability. There's also the ability to just flash the track pad unlock once you root. It doesn't always work right away when you press it. Most of the time you have to press it 2-3 times or hold it down 2-3 seconds before it wakes up.
 
Widget Locker also has the ability. It works most of the time, but sometimes you need to press the pad twice.
 
I've tried to flash incredibly reengineerd but it was unstable and went into constant reboot. What is the rom that has that? And I know widget locker allows it but it also let's all buttons unlock the phone.
 
This problem never really was solved IMO, and it's probably a hardware issue. Even on root, all of the options for using trackpad wake are very buggy unfortunately.
