Time To Shine

After I rooted my device, I went to intall my custom ROM and when I went to do so through the volume up and end button menu, my trackball decided to stop working. Is there anyway to fix this problem or navigate without using the trackball? When I went to test it on the internet browser, the phone recognized it but only when I scrolled right, if I'm not mistaken. Again, I'm just trying to figure out how to install a custom ROM without the trackball if possible. Or a tackball fix.
