Help Trackball Scroll Issue

[lilhellmaker]

I've seen how the trackball on a lot of phones automatically scroll to the left, but on my 2nd one...1st one had the same problem, that even with cleaning the ball i cannot scroll left. I can scroll up, down, and right but not left. VZW is sending me another one....how many do i have to go through before they give me something new?

The answer to that differs by user and by customer service rep. The general consensus seems to be around 3 or 4.

Called Verizon about my daughter's trackball issue with the screen scrolling left and while texting the curser going back to the beginning of each word. The representative claimed that she had never heard of the Eris having that problem. BS! Anyhow, since this will be my daughter's third (really the fourth) phone with this issue, Verizon is sending her a Droid2. I also on the same phone call asked about my phone since based on past experience, my phone is only a week away from having more serious issues as the trackball only scrolls on direction and while plugged into the charger the phone will select different apps on it's on. Since I've switched out my phone one less time than my daughter due to trackball issues, I only get an Eris as a replacement.
