Tracking a phone's previous location

I'm trying to find out where my g/f's phone has been. I have access to the phone, and I want to figure out a way of viewing previous locations. Is this possible, or would I have to install some sort of app to track future locations?

She has a droid X, and I'm assuming she leaves her GPS on...I don't think she knows how to shut it off

Dude really? Not good if you are trying to track her. Hire a private investigator that way you have pictures and audio of her going to work and back home.

I think that is illegal without a warrant. You have bigger issues than finding out where her phone has been.
