trade in my atrix for....thunderbold???

Its release is in a few days and in california you have 30 days to cancel a contract with no fees...

anyone else thinking of going this route???

my #1 problem is tethering speeds are miserably slow... everything else i like for the most part...

Go ahead, then post up if your getting 15 meg downloads and 5 meg uploads. I'm assuming you will need to live in one of Verizons hotspots to get the speeds.

I'll stick with my Atrix and 2 to 4 meg downloads on 3 G depending on traffic and live with the 300kbs upload...

For a brand new phone, the Thunderbolt is disappointingly underpowered and surprisingly overpriced, IMO. Early this year, I had considered waiting for it and jumping to Verizon ... but now I'm glad that I stuck with AT&T and purchased the Atrix.

Went from Atrix to Thunderbolt. Thunderbolt even though 1 core proc, it still beats out Atrix

I traded my atrix for an inspire and am very pleased. The hardware is not comparable to the atrix, but in my opinion, it is very fast and a much better overall phone. The atrix has too many problems that will hopefully be resolved soon.

I am sure the the thunderbolt is a great phone.
