Trading rooted oe

Ok I hope someone can answer this. I have a rooted optimus elite that I want to give to my wife.I'm getting a HTC one v . She had an optimus v so she will want to just transfer her number to my rooted elite. My question is"can we do all this without losing root and without virgin mobile catching it? I assume we'll have to call vm or maybe use the internet. Just not sure how to go about this. Any input would be great, and thanks in advance.

Just do a swap on her account online or call vm. Run activation app and all should go well. VM won't know anything.

This is assuming you didn't remove activation app after rooting

I still have activation app. I was afraid that when we transfer the number it might screw up the root. Thanks for the quick response.
