Root Tranquility Help

Installed Tranquility ROM this morning. Something weird is going on with my root though. I tried rrebooting into recovery and neither ROM Manager nor Koush's bootstrap would work. I opened terminal emulator and typed 'su' and got a permission denied. I have universalandroot, ran that and was told I HAVE root. Somebody please help.

is super user still there? i read on an other forum that this happened to somebody else and they had to reroot using the Droid 2 method

I'm having issues with restoring from ROM manger and Recovery also. I still have root though. It tells me no files found. Really don't want to go back to 2.1. :-( Must work though problem.. must work.....

you know i had that issue a few times when trying to install theme.....told me that the file did not exist.....few reboots and a battery pull and it seemed to work. i made sure that CW was flashed and it worked again....not sure what was goin on

I followed d0nku-san's instructions here:

Tranquility: A Blurless Droid X is within Reach

and it worked. Here's what it says:

adb shell
$ /system/xbin/su
# mount -t ext3 -o rw,remount /dev/block/mmcblk1p21 /system
# cp /system/xbin/su /system/bin/su
# chmod 4755 /system/bin/su
# sync
# mount -t ext3 -o ro,remount /dev/block/mmcblk1p21 /system
# exit
$ exit
