Help Transcoding failure - MMS

Newbie
I have got an Xperia S and my boyfriend has just got a new Xperia phone. I've tried to send a video to his phone via MMS but he can't view the video as it says there is a transcoding failure.

Anyone know what this means and what we need to do please?
