To transfer contacts without a hiccup or sync through gmail.
Put a SD card in your inc connect your old phone an inc via Bluetooth and on (my old smartphonebb) their should be an option to transfer contacts hit it and they will take care of the rest. You want to do this before you sync and add Facebook or whatever else though. Cause if you don't your numbers won't transfer for the people that you have as friends on fb it at least it didn't for me.
