Help Transfering all apps from previous phone to new phone

I remember, my dad owned a galaxy s and when he bought s2, and put in email details in market, all apps after some time downloaded in his new phone, including the free ones.

Now, I have bought a s2 but the apps from galaxy ace are not transferring to this new phone.

The only application(s) that will be reinstall on your new device are the preinstalled and the ones bought. You would have to have an application that had saved all your free apps prior to changing your device. For example; (Appbrain)

Try MyBackup Pro. Worked for me - saved off all my apps onto SD card. Then it would be simple enough to move SD card to new phone.

What if you go into app management and move all these apps to SD Card, would the apps be available after you insert the SD Card into the new phone or would there be install files missing?

It could be that he had automatic backup for app data enabled and you didn't. If you got to menu>settings>privacy you can see if it is enabled.

No, because even though a portion of the apps are installed to the SD card to conserve system space, there are elements of every app that needs to be in the system partition. It is more advisable to backup your app data and reinstall the apps on the new phone.
