Transfering files of "Media Device MTP"

Is anyone having trouble transferring files over MTP?

I've plugged my GNEX into a PC via the micro-usb cable. By default, the phone sets to "Media Device MTP." However, when I drag the 1 GB of pictures to the "pictures" folder, it stalls and just sits there and does nothing.

Oddly, videos went into the "movies" folder just fine.


***EDIT*** - It appears that changing the settings to "Camera (PTP)" seems to do the trick. It's transferring as slow as molasses, but at least it's working.

Use airdroid in the market.

So far most people can't transfer pictures but other files seem ok. Must be a issue with pc connection and drivers. Airdroid works flawlessly

I can't even get my Nexus to been seen by the PC as a drive.

Tried it on an XP and a Win7 machine so far.

Edit: I reinstalled the Samsung usb drivers located here: Galaxy Nexus usb drivers and it works now.

Very odd: Someone in the tips thread mentioned switching USB cables. He was using an old Droid cable, and when he switched to the Samsung cable from the GNEX box, it worked.

Same with me. I was using my Incredible cable. When I switched to the Samsung cable, it worked just fine. Very strange. I had no idea it made a difference.
