Help Transfering my apps to SD card

Certain apps won't move to the SD (such as pre-installed ones), but I assure you there's no harm in moving any of your apps to your SD card. It just gives you more space on the phone which in turn should make it somewhat faster.

widgets wont run from SD card. Also, if you mount the sd card in your oc, the apps wont work either.

The moving apps to sd was a Google implementation in 2.2. The desire came out with 2.1 so other than to room, there was nothing that could be done.

I think lack of internal memory was an oversight on HTCs part. It has more than the blackberry bold 9000 but that didn't have enough either

Not like there were a lot of apps for our berries. ;)

True. Towards the end of my contract I was trawling appworld and crackberry for apps just to make it slightly more fun.

I did get bored of the BB quite quick.

Good phone, still a lot of features I miss on Android, but couldnt go back.

Used mine over the weekend and had forgotten how quick typing is though!!

If the desire Z was as powerful as the desire, I'd have sold my desire and got it.
I thought Desire Z was more powerful than Desire thanks to its Snapdragon 2 processor (despite running at 200MHz lower speed)?
For example the Quadrant score for Desire Z is higher than Desire (thanks to the better GPU?).

Sorry.. I'm new to these things. so if i have desire z which is Froyo (2.2) , can I download the app that transfers app to sd? thanx

The apps can be moved via Menu>Settings>Applications>manage applications Then in each app, press the "Move to SD" button.

There is also an app called "apps2sd" on the market that identifies which apps can be moved and then will cycle through each letting you press the "Move to SD" button.

Never understood why anyone running 2.2 would use app2sd when this facility can be obtained already from the operating system. If you are trying to save memory why install an unecessary app?

Im sure you already know the answer to that.
