Transferring apps from one phone to another

Hello,

Accidentally deleted my Weather Channel 2.3.23 version. Neighbor has this version on her similar phone. Can it somehow be transferred to my Optimus S phone?

Thanks.

Michael

Oh, I did that alrighty. Turns out the Market only carries the latest version of the Weather Channel (3.0) and I did not read one positive review of that version. I tried it out and I agree, it's interface and function are horrible. So, I went looking for the 2.3.23 version. If someone here has a valid linky to that 2.3.23 version of the Weather Channel, I would be very interested in following it.

Like I said, my neighbor has it on her phone and am wondering if THAT app or widget or whatever can be transferred to my phone somehow.

Yes there is a way to do it.
If she has Android she can down load a app called AppMonster. Back up the app to her sd card. Put her sd card in your phone, you load app monster on your phone and export the app off the sd card back on to your phone.

It saves lots of time when switching phones. You will have to go in to settings of your new phone and allow app installs from non market locations to import apps back over from the SD card. Once your done with it. Turn that back on. It will help reduce the possibility of your picking up malware from blue tooth intrusions.

it looks like this is what you are looking for:
The Weather Channel 2.3.22 - Free Download
If you have a file browser like es file explorer (click menu, manager, app manager, then click select all, then backup and it'll save them to your sd card and then you can upload them to 4shared if you wanted to) or file expert (just click the programs tab on top, select all, and backup....) they have app managers and it gives you the apk files of all of the files you have installed on your phone then you can download the 4shared mobile app and make an account so you can upload the apk files to it and you'll always have your files if this happens again and you can download them from any browser and you don't have to keep all of those files on your sd card. It's alot easier than it sounds and you don't have to be rooted to back up your apps.
