Sooooo fed up of this phone!!! Why are androids so damn complicated!! Itunes and apple are SO easy to use!

Ive downloaded kies. Which foud my device.
Ive clicked on 'transfer to device' which has put the songs on my phone but NOT in music, its put it in the 'my files' folder! Nor has it recognised its an album like itunes does!!

Why is everything so complicated on androids!!! Please help

I just connect with usb cable , copy and paste to where i want my files quite simple actually

So help me PLEASE!!

The only 'music' folder on my phone is under the 'applications tab'. It has a samsung demo song in it!

When in kies and i click on 'transfer to device' it send music as a list of songs 'not an album' (like itunes with iphone easily does) into 'files'!

first off i have no idea what iphone does cause i dont have one , anyway forget kies and just copy and paste from ur pc harddrive to ur phone and place them where u want

I think if you know how to use a PC, android phone would be instinctive. First, there is only one music folder with a couple of songs that comes with the phone. You just have to make your own.

So here is my suggestion;
1) On the home screen, tap menu and choose settings.
2) Go to wireless & network and look for USB utilities
3) Tap the icon, and only then connect the USB cable
4) Tap another icon.

What you now get is that the phone treats your SGS2 like a thumbdrive. You can go into the Phone USB memory and move the files around, make folders, copy, delete.... anything you want like any other thumbdrive.

For music, I suggest you create a new folder called "Music" somewhere and in that folders, you can have subfolders for your type of music. You can also have folders called "Notifications" and "Ringtones". What this does is that when you select to set / change notifications or ringtones, you can choose from My Sounds instead of browsing through file management applications like My Files.

Everything new requires bedding down period. Blaming the phone for something you haven't gotten used to, speaks more of you than the phone.

Cheers

Just had to add, don't bother with Kies for transferring / syncing / backup large files like music / video collections. Its very slow, and because its slow, it can freeze on the way or at least I get frustrated enough from the waiting that I consider it frozen. Just use the copy and paste method which is faster.

The only thing I use Kies for,
1) Update Kies so have latest drivers
2) Update firmware (only official method) but must have stable and fast internet connection if not likely will have errors
3) Backup small files like contacts, messages, memos, notes etc.

Cheers

Give this guide a read if you want to just follow a simple straight forward method. I'll admit I rather like the fact we have so many options with the phone though (USB, Bluetooth, Cloud, Wi-Fi)
