Help transform ultra camera problems. help!

Ok I have this phone for about 2 weeks now. Everything was working good now all of the sudden the camera does not want to work. It loads the program but I get a blank screen. If you wait the screen will turn on for a split second showing what I should be seeing when taking a picture. All the controls appear but its like somone keeps opening and closing a lens cap blacking out the picture. If I time it right sometimes I can snap a shot but it turns out grainy and fujll of green and purple lines. Then sometime around that point the program freezes and has to force close. Then the camera won't open again until I restart the phone. I've tried to do a hard reset back to factory settings and it still does the same thing. Tried different sd card and same thing. Is this a software issue or did I get a bum phone. I called samsung and they seem to be clueless and insisit I send it to them for service... if its software I'm sure I can find an answer here. If its hardware I'm jus gonna return the damn thing. I love this phone other than the camera is totally useless.... Any ideas???????
 
possibly a dumb question but have you tried a different camera app? backup original app uninstall it and try a different app..truthfully though, it sounds like a hardware problem..if nothing works i would go ahead and send it back to samsung so it can be fixed

Also try switching to front facing camera and see if it gives you the same issue... if so its probably software.

I am so glad I am not the only one with this problem. I am a totally blind user, but still like using the video camera part, and I have two transform ultras that do the same thing. I don't totally know what happens, but someone told me when the camera app freezes, the screen freezes as well. I have tried a couple differant apps, and they all crash randumly too. had mine for 13 days before it started doing this. I have two of them in my house now that do this. talked to samsung and they refuse to admit it could be a problem with this line of phone.
 
I had an issue somewhat like that but that was only after using skype for awhile and before they specifically supported our phone. I could just reboot and it would work again... oovoo did not give me that problem at that time. I recommend restoring to factory defaults and seeing if it works and keeping it like that without installing anything to it for a few weeks to see if the issue comes back if not then you can rule out it being the phone or phone's stock software.
