Root Transparent Notification Bar

I am running CM7 Reloaded 7.2.0 on my Triumph and using the GlassMix theme and would like to have the Notification bar be transparent. I just want the bar itself transparent, not the bar and icons (LOL I know I can hide it).

Thanks!!!

I would recommend the UOT Kitchen. Just select status bar mod, enable transparency, set to 0%, upload framework-res.apk and systemui.apk (found under system/framework/ and system/app/), hit submit to kitchen and wait a couple minutes. It will produce a flashable zip for you, and you may need to wipe Dalvik cache before flashing.

Just a tip, when I've used UOT Kitchen in the past, it has done this weird thing to lockscreen sliding tabs where it's the correct color at the tip, but not the rest of the slider, so if you use the sliding tab style, I would recommend enabling lockscreen along with the status bar mod, and choosing the appropriate options to match default sliding tabs.

I'm such a blockhead, I meant the Status Bar. Still learning the terminology :( sorry about that!!

i think what Jong suggested may be your best bet

i would go to the Kitchen first and play around in the status bar area, it has status bar and notification pull down, you can customize and see if they have what your looking for

if they do have what you want you'll need to do an adb pull and get your framework-res.apk and systemUI.apk i believe (the kitchen will tell you whats needed)

then you upload your files to the kitchen, selected which mod you want, do whatever customizations you want, and finish and itll spit back out the files you uploaded, except they have your mod built in now

other then that im not sure, cause using a theme with a transparent status bar just doesnt work, well for me atleast, i have an ics theme that should have a transparent staus bar and notifications pull down, the pulldown is transparent, but the status bar stayed solid black, currently i just dont feel like goin to the kitchen to make it transparent tho lol

I did give that a try, but the fact that I am a Noob (and probably screwed it up), it didn't do anything at all. But that's OK, I flashed back to CM9 and currently trying themes with that.

Thanks for the help guys!!!
