Transparent Status Bar :(

I've been working to make the Status Bar transparent but have discovered that due to there being no classes.dex file in the SystemUI.apk, this doesn't seem possible, selected other phones have it, but it's not as simple as copying the dex from one of those and sticking it in the S2 version.

There is a chance the classes.dex that controls the color/transparency is in one of the other apks though, I've tried a few but nothing yet. I wonder if any of the other variant S2s have a classes.dex in their SystemUI.apk? That just might work.

I just want full use of the phones's 4.27 screen... The always-on black status bar robs us of what we paid for, in a sense.

(all that needs to be edited is a single number using notepad, what a pain!)

u can use ADW launcher and hide status bar...

you can also do it with apex and go launcher, not tried ADW may give it a look

Thanks. I'm getting the free version since everyone's saying the latest ADW is broken in various ways (something about something taking up screen space at the bottom now) and the dev disregards it because I guess he's made it the way he wants it.
So if you have EX make a backup before upgrading, seems I'm late to the EX party.

edit- This is awesome, thanks, I've got things pretty much how I want them, the only real let down with this (apart from it screwing up the wallpaper all the time) is that in order to hide the dock, you have to suffer the burn effect across the bottom of the screen. But thanks a ton, I was holding back on putting a different launcher on because I'd seen all the problems people were having, however everything went better than expected.
Glad to have gotten rid of 'those damn dots' on the tw's home screens.

Bullshit in terms of latest ADW update! I use paid ver and everything works superb, checked many various options and don't have any probs! I would deffo recommend
And what screen burn? I have S2 since july, use it a lot and dont see any symptoms of screenburn... Dunno is it the case but i'm on auto brightness...
Anyway, u will see after some time of using ADW why i'm liking it so much

No nothing to do with burning the screen itself, but when you hideaway the dock buttons there is a black fade in effect used in it's place, no big deal.

Just working on how to fix the wallpaper problem now, as setting an 480x800 paper isn't the norm here. I can fix it through twlauncher but when I go back to ADW and do anything it gets zoomed in/messed up.

Will take an even closer look at EX. (apparently the trash can is always visible, unless you lock the desktop)
