I just received my Google Nexus 4 (by LG) and the first thing I'm trying to "fix" is tethering. I'm almost there, but when I turn on tethering the log shows this error: "Enabling MSS Clamping...failed."
Here is how I got here:
Phone Model: Nexus 4
Android Version: 4.3, build JWR66Y
Bootloader Unlocked and phone Rooted using Nexus Root Toolkit (NRT_v1.7.2.sfx.exe)
...which also installed TWRP Recovery during Rooting
Used TWRP Recovery to install SuperSU ("UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.43.zip")
Used Nexus Root Toolkit to Install "Wifi_tether_v3_3-pre2.apk"
I've tried various settings inside the "WiFi Tether - TrevE Mod" app.
I used the settings from highonandroid (.com/android-apps/how-to-wifi-tether-any-rooted-android-smartphone-or-tablet-universal-guide/)
to set up the tethering. However, in step 10 they show to "Enable MSS clamping." I do NOT have an option for "MSS Clamping" in my settings.
I'm not a developer. I know just enough computer skills to follow instructions, but not to start hacking at command lines myself.
Can anyone help?
