Root tried and failed?

i tried following these steps for cooked gb rom on my droid x

but got the:
"E: Error in /sdcard/Blur_version.23588.p1.zip"


so i did a restore back to official build. what next? the only reason im doing this and not waiting for ota update; my phone just started rebooting about 3-5 times a day for no reason. pissing me off. im not a total noob. ive done plent of rom chaning with my droid 1 just new to droid x.

they have to be installed in order.
Are you rooted?
did you d/l the D2 bootstrap? (not the DX)
did you use D2 bootstrap to get to recovery?
did you choose the first GB of the three parts?
From what rom are you starting? (sounds like stock, but ya never know...)
 
here is the million dollar question....


did you restore a backup to get back to stock Froyo??...or did you SBF back to Froyo??

system version: version.2.3.340.mb810.verizon.en.us
android version: 2.2.1

rooted with z4root, installed dx and d2 bootstrap, installed and rebooted into DX boostrap and did and backup, restarted into droid, installed and rebooted into D2 bootstrap, did full format/wipe, and tried to install from sdcard pt1 then i get that error. so i format/wipe and do a system restore.

Still might be a bad copy of .588
That is pretty weird, since it seems everyone has been pretty smooth on that part.
May need to SBF again (file fragments left behind?).
