Hello forum.

I tried to unroot my nexus 7 to install stock 4.4. Something went wrong during the process and now cannot get past the bootloader screen. Booting fails for every option I try. Computer no longer recognizes the Nexus 7 when connected via USB.

Please help.

Thank you in advance.

What did you use to flash/unroot?

Last recovery/ROM you had running?

Operating system you are using/have access too?

Just to give you an option to access the Nexus7 when the computer doesn't, here's my thread from last August. Got lot's of help, and lot's of possible answers to try, from some real heavy weights here on the forum. Plus, the one way I eventually found to gain access:

"To transfer files to and from, in my situation, the easiest was to buy an OTG cable, (the one end plugs into the tablet, and the opposite, has a REVERSE USB), and then an 8 GB memory stick.
Memory stick loads with data from USB on the PC, then plugs also into the OTG cable, and with a little AP called StickMount, let's you transfer with ES File explorer."

Best of luck.

But they said that they can't access the tablet at all so how can he download an app onto there device

That's true, I think that I was responding to this part of that distress call:

"Computer no longer recognizes the Nexus 7 when connected via USB."

OTA won't be the first option that most will think about.

If he can at some point restore his system to the point he could pass data and apps, but freaky windows still won't recognize by USB drive, he'd be good.
