Root Tried Z4Root

I tried using Z4Root and it's supposed to work for this device, but I click perm root and it does its think and reboots, but I don't have root or SU app. I'm on 2.2. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

It means that it doesn't work with this phone..... try superoneclick [APP]SuperOneClick v1.8beta (Root, Unroot, Enable Non-Market App) - xda-developers I haven't tried it myself....... but it worked like a charm for my old ally and citrus....... its simple .

You may need to download the drivers from the lg site for your phone but not sure let me know if you do and I will help you find it...

I forgot to edit the thread because I fixed this already. It was because Debugging got disabled when I denied the LG driver download that pops up.

is there a simple how to for the ally somewhere? after i rooted my thunderbolt a friend wants me to root his ally but i am not familiar with z4root or simpleoneclick

That is the post I used to root the ally..... SOC works for the 2.2 update of ally. Z4root works for 2.1

Gingerbreak is great. It works on 2.2, 2.2.1 and 2.2.2! [26.04.2011][v1.2] GingerBreak APK (root for GingerBread) - xda-developers
