I'm a neophyte to android tinkering so bare with me.
I rooted my Trio Stealth G2 10.1 tablet(so far, I see no benefit to it being rooted other than a few additional apps). It currently has JellyBean 4.1.1. The upgraded Trio Stealth HD ELite G4 10.1 has KitKat 4.4. Most of the specs are identical except my cpu is Amlogic Dual Core Cortex-A9 Dual 1.5GHz and the newer tablet is Quad Core Cortex A7 1.5GHz.
Could you not, somehow or another, replace the old JB with the newer KK or does the upgraded processor eliminate the possibility ?
(I realize not buying a premium tablet has its limitations! I just didn't see the benefit of an extra $500)
P.S. If this isn't in right forum, I apologize. After I posted I realized it might have been better under rooted tablets.
