Triumph FM Radio - yes / no?

I have searched, and found a few posts regarding the FM Radio, using the app AnyCut to add a shortcut to the desktop, but that's it.

So, is there any way to make it work?
I am running CM7.2.

Thanks!

I've tried several times and couldn't get it work. Under the factory ROM there were controls for it hidden some where. The most I could get is static. I've read that the FM radio part would have to have the antenna connected to the microphone on the headset, assuming you have a headset with a mic.

There is a way to get local FM stations on your phone with the TuneIn app. You can view stations available via their website and presets will be transferred to your phone as you select them. You can also view local stations available with the app as well.

TuneIn Free App
TuneIn Paid App $0.99

Yeah, what buzzcon on said is your best bet. Just beware that some stations block TuneIn for ridiculous copyright reasons. Seriously, they're so afraid that people are going to record with it and sell it for cash or not buy songs? I still purchase my music, but if I were to record some news I liked, what's the big deal? Radio music is low quality, anyhow. Anyone that wants the music anyhow and cannot afford it (or just doesn't care) will borrow a CD from a friend or pirate en masse regardless. I'll never understand the logic around our copyright laws. They never get the pirates, but treat the consumer like a criminal with DRM and junk like that. I've had DRM'd software screw up on me before, and trust me, it's no fun. I actually believe that DRM will even make some legitimate customers turn to piracy, just to get their stuff working. )-:

Some AM stations are available too. Sadly MikeRL is correct, the licensing of internet radio is a huge PITA. I must file monthly reports with SoundExchange for royalty reasons. They are really starting to crack down on pirate stations, which is fine with me, both of my stations are fully licensed.

Just keep in mind that use of the TuneIn app will use up some of your monthly data plan, it's not the same as an actual FM tuner.

also has changes depending on where you live, i also use the tunein app, but i live on the east coast in philadelphia, where clearchannel owns pretty much every radio station, tunein cannot play any of there channels, cause they dont let anyone do anything lol, while I Heart Radio(clearchannel radio app) has them all listed

i in total just to be sure keep

1. Tunein Radio
2. I Heart Radio
3. Pandora Radio
4. Slacker Radio

i used to also have my Last.fm channel hooked up, but somewhere along the lines last.fm decided i can listen to my channel for free on any computer, and on my xbox 360, but if i want to listen on my phone i need to pay for it lol, so last.fm has been deleted lol
